The Pictou County Amateur Radio Club was formed in 1948 with 15 members.

We currently operate VE1HR, a voice repeater and packet system located on Maclellan’s Mountain, N.S. also VE1JCF a voice repeater located on Rocky Mountain. And a APRS node also at the same site as VE1JCF.  Our club station VE1UW also operates 3 CW beacons:

  • 50.010 Mhz
  • 144.288 Mhz
  • 432.350 Mhz

at our station located in Stellarton, N.S.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the former Library Building, 122 Leo Fahey Way, Stellarton, N.S across the street of the Pictou Campus of NSCC. The meeting times are 7:30pm.
